Details for the Day

  • 1 Equestrian Way, Bluffton, SC 29910

The Rose Hill Plantation Polo Field is located through the community’s North Side Gate. Volunteers will check your tickets and guide you to a parking spot.

  • Our event insurance requires us to prohibit canines, with the exception of certified Service Animals. Please understand that this is important for ensuring the safety of the players and equine athletes competing in the match - as well as all employees, volunteers, vendors, and attendees.

  • Yes! No liquor will be sold on the premises. We will have Beer and Wine available for purchase from Lowcountry Taps.

  • Please use serving items and tableware that will remain intact if dropped.

  • Please plan to tailgate without a generator as the noise can disturb those around you who are trying to enjoy the match. We understand that many improvements have been made with generators. If you would like to tailgate with a generator, it must be a quiet generator.

  • Expect the Match to last about 2 hours. A traditional polo match consists of 4 to 6 chukkers lasting about 7 and a half minutes each. Half-time will include the time-honored tradition of stomping the divots. Don’t miss the hat contest!

  • You can come in your Lowcountry best or dress down with a more resort casual ensemble. Whatever you choose, be comfortable and have fun. When choosing footwear, be mindful that the event takes place on a grass field. And of course… be prepared to show off those fancy hats!

  • Your space number is provided on your ticket. All spaces will be labeled for easy identification. Bring your own tent, chairs, and any other picnicking essentials you may need…or grab something from our wonderful food vendors.

  • Your General Admission ticket gives you access to the polo event starting at 12pm. Bring your picnicking items, chairs, etc. and set yourself up in the Spectator Area. This is a first come, first serve area. If an invitation is extended, you are also welcome to join your friends at their Designated Tent, Tailgate or Sponsorship space. Access to the VIP Hospitality Tent is prohibited at this ticketing level as it requires a VIP Ticket.

  • Yes! If you purchase a Designated Space Ticket, it comes with 2 General Admission tickets. Buy additional General Admission Tickets for your guests or invite them to buy their own General Admission Tickets and join you at your Designated Tent or Tailgate Space.

  • Residents are welcome to set up no earlier than 6pm on April 6th, 2024 to allow for field preparation. Early set up is at your own risk.

All items must be fully secured. Loose items on the field will be removed.

  • Sponsor packets will be delivered by a Rose Hill Equestrian Club Representative.

  • Yes, but as this is an outdoor event in the Lowcountry, bringing bug spray is always a good idea.
